Project Coordinator

Francisco is a dynamic and results-driven Project Coordinator with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. His academic background provides a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, motivation, and group dynamics—key elements in managing successful teams and fostering a collaborative work environment. 

Before entering the construction industry, Francisco developed a strong skill set through his experience in bartending and food service. These fast-paced roles sharpened his customer service, multitasking, and communication abilities—skills that now play a vital role in his day-to-day coordination efforts. His ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities contributes to smooth operations and satisfied clients.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Francisco brings an added layer of value to the team by bridging language gaps and facilitating clear communication across diverse groups of clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Erick Chairez,

Project Manager

Erick is a seasoned Project Manager with a well-rounded background in construction, estimating, and mitigation, bringing over 20 years of industry experience to the team. Since starting his construction career in 1999, he has developed a deep understanding of the building and restoration process, allowing him to manage projects with confidence, accuracy, and efficiency. 

Erick takes great pride in helping clients restore their homes and finds fulfillment in the unique challenges each project presents. “I appreciate a challenge, and although several repairs may require similar materials, I enjoy that no two repairs are ever the same,” he says. His ability to stay focused under pressure and deliver consistent results has earned him the trust of both clients and colleagues.

Fluent in Spanish, Erick also plays a vital role in facilitating clear communication across diverse teams and client bases. His bilingual skills enhance collaboration and contribute to a smooth, inclusive workflow from start to finish.

Mitigation Manager

With over 15 years of hands-on experience in water damage restoration and contents pack out, Abran brings deep industry expertise and leadership to his role as Mitigation Manager. 

Abran is IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Applied Structural Drying (ASD) and holds an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of safety and technical excellence. His extensive knowledge and practical skills allow him to guide teams effectively while supporting customers during some of their most challenging times.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Abran takes pride in providing clear communication and compassionate service to a diverse client base. His dedication to helping people recover from water damage with efficiency and empathy has made him a trusted leader in the field.

Juan Fraga

Juan Fraga,

Skilled Craftsman

Juan is a reliable and experienced craftsman with over 20 years in the homebuilding and construction industry. His broad skill set and hands-on knowledge make him an essential part of the Vidal Construction team. Juan contributes across a wide range of tasks including material expediting, finishing carpentry, general labor, roofing, light framing, plumbing repairs, demolition, and content manipulation.

Known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, Juan is trusted to operate company vehicles and equipment responsibly. His ability to adapt to different job site needs and provide excellent customer service ensures smooth, efficient progress on every project. Whether working independently or with a team, Juan consistently delivers high-quality results that meet project standards and timelines.

With a sharp eye for detail and a strong foundation in accounting, Jordan brings both technical proficiency and administrative excellence to the team. With her degree in Accounting at UTSA with a 3.8 GPA, she has hands-on experience working with financial systems. Jordan’s background includes conducting internal audits, managing asset data, and analyzing vendor payments—all while demonstrating high moral standards and precision in her work.

Jordan is equally skilled in customer-facing roles, having excelled in fast-paced environments. Her experience spans both administrative and client service functions, making her a reliable point of contact for both financial tasks and organizational support.

A self-disciplined professional with a top-tier academic background and a calm, solutions-oriented mindset, Jordan is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in every task she undertakes.

 

Owen

Owen Gunn,

Project Manager

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Owen brings a comprehensive and detail-oriented approach to every project. As a licensed Home Inspector, FAA-Certified Drone Pilot, and Thermal Imaging Certified professional, he combines hands-on expertise with advanced technology to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Owen has managed a wide range of residential construction projects from concept to completion. His background in inspections and thermal imaging provides valuable insights during the planning and quality assurance phases, while drone technology enhances site assessments, progress tracking, and safety monitoring.

Known for his strong communication skills and commitment to client satisfaction, Owen is dedicated to delivering results that exceed expectations.

Randy is a skilled Mitigation Technician with a strong track record of helping property owners recover from water-related damage quickly and effectively. Randy is IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Applied Structural Drying (ASD). With hands-on experience in everything from burst pipes to major flooding events, Randy specializes in identifying the source, minimizing loss, and restoring properties to a safe and dry condition.

Known for his reliability and calm demeanor in high-pressure situations, Randy takes pride in being a dependable resource during emergencies. Randy is well-versed in moisture detection, water extraction, structural drying, and the use of industry-standard equipment to prevent further damage and mold growth. His attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right make him a valued member of the restoration team.

As an Office Coordinator, Sarah brings a unique and valuable blend of skills, education, and experience to the team. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University–San Antonio, she offers a great understanding of human behavior, communication, and organizational dynamics—an asset that enhances collaboration and operational efficiency in the fast-paced construction industry.

Sarah's academic background equips her with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, which she applies daily in managing administrative workflows, coordinating project documents, and supporting both office staff and field teams. Her ability to anticipate needs, maintain composure under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously makes her an integral part of the team’s success.

With a proactive mindset and a collaborative spirit, Sarah plays a key role in keeping projects organized, teams informed, and operations running smoothly.

Joey Melgoza

Joey Melgoza,

Investment Partner

Joey graduated from Concordia University with a degree in business and construction management, where he developed a strong foundation in project planning, finance, and operations. After college, he pursued his passion for baseball, spending six years in the minor leagues while simultaneously working part-time in construction, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

With over twenty years of experience in both commercial and residential construction, Joey has managed a wide range of projects—from custom home builds to large-scale commercial developments. His combined academic background and field experience give him a well-rounded understanding of every phase of construction, from initial planning to final execution.

Fluent in Spanish, Joey is an effective communicator and team leader. His deep industry knowledge, strong work ethic, and sharp attention to detail make him a trusted professional and an exceptional partner for construction and real estate investment opportunities.

Wylie

Wylie Miller,

Estimator/Project Manager

Originally from Kansas City, MO, Wylie began his journey in construction at just twelve years old, operating equipment and gaining hands-on experience that continued to grow throughout his college years. His early exposure to the industry laid a strong foundation for a well-rounded and practical understanding of construction from the ground up.

Wylie attended Central Methodist University, where he earned a degree in computer science with a minor in math and physics. During his time there, he also played collegiate baseball as a pitcher, balancing academics and athletics with discipline and determination—qualities that continue to shape his professional approach.

In 2017, Wylie relocated to Texas, where he currently works as both an estimator and project manager on jobs across the state. He is highly proficient in industry-standard tools such as X1 and CoreLogic, and is known for his precision, reliability, and ability to manage projects efficiently from estimation through completion.

Shelby

Shelby Nadler,

Billing Specialist 

Shelby has always considered herself a numbers person—she even did long division for fun as a child. Her natural affinity for problem-solving, combined with strong organizational skills, was further developed during her years as a pre-K and preschool teacher, where she worked closely with teams to create solutions and support young learners.

Her transition into the construction industry began when her husband started an excavation company. Shelby stepped in to manage the bookkeeping, gaining valuable insight into daily operations and building a solid understanding of the business side of construction. This experience laid the groundwork for her current role with Vidal Construction.

A Texas native with a Bachelor of Science in biology, Shelby brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and adaptability to the team. Her drive to learn and her willingness to take on new challenges have made her an integral part of the organization.

Lissie Salinas

Lissie Salinas,

Estimate Review

Lissie’s passion for construction began at age sixteen while working at her grandfather’s hardware store. Surrounded by builders and tools, she quickly developed a strong work ethic and an interest in the industry that would shape her future career. That early experience gave her a solid foundation in the basics of construction and a lasting appreciation for the field.

In 2016, Lissie earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of the Incarnate Word, along with a minor in Psychology. Her academic background, combined with strong communication skills, allows her to connect easily with clients and understand their goals. She is also highly proficient in key industry software, including X1, CoreLogic, Matterport, and DocuSketch, which she uses to ensure accuracy and efficiency in every project.

Fluent in Spanish and experienced in both residential and commercial construction, Lissie is a valued member of the team. Her attention to detail, technical knowledge, and commitment to client satisfaction make her a reliable partner for any project, from planning to completion.

April Vidal

April Vidal,

Consulting Support

April brings a diverse skill set to Vidal Construction, backed by a business degree in marketing and a master’s in education. With experience in human resources, member services, and management, she offers a well-rounded perspective on building strong teams and delivering exceptional service.

At Vidal Construction, April leverages her expertise in X1 estimating software and sharp attention to detail to support consulting and quality assurance efforts. She helps ensure every project meets the company’s high standards by streamlining operations, identifying potential issues, and providing clear, organized processes.

Known for her client-first mindset, April takes pride in building trust and exceeding expectations. Whether reviewing project details, managing communications, or guiding consulting tasks, she approaches each responsibility with professionalism, care, and a commitment to excellence.

Edwin Vidal

Edwin Vidal,

Principal

Edwin graduated from Schreiner University with a BBA and a concentration in management. While playing collegiate basketball, he earned an NAIA All-American award and later went on to play professional basketball overseas before transitioning into construction management.

His construction career began as a laborer and advanced to entry-level Construction Superintendent, then Project Manager. In 2008, he founded Vidal Construction and has since been involved in every aspect of the business. Along the way, he has earned WRT, ASD, FRT, and Haag Inspector certifications, as well as Texas All Lines Adjuster, P&C, Group I, and LRA licenses.

Fluent in Spanish and proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, CoreLogic, and X1, Edwin has successfully completed over $100 million in ground-up builds and insurance-related build-backs. His broad expertise and hands-on experience continue to drive the company’s success.

Hunter Vidal,

Mitigation Technician & Construction Intern

Hunter is driven and fast-learning, currently expanding his expertise through mitigation training. A former NCAA Division II soccer player at the University of Jamestown, he has since transferred to UTSA to pursue a degree in Architecture—aligning his education with his passion for design and the built environment.

From a young age, Hunter has been involved in the business, even helping Edwin select the original color scheme and logo as a kid. He graduated high school with honors and has consistently shown a strong commitment to personal and professional growth. Hunter is IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT)

His dedication to learning the ins and outs of the industry makes him a valuable asset on and off the job site. Whether managing project logistics or diving into design principles, Hunter brings energy, attention to detail, and a deep-rooted passion for the field.

Joey Vidal

Joey Vidal,

Project Manager

Joey oversees new customer development at Vidal Construction, ensuring every client receives attentive service from the first meeting through project completion. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration from Wayland Baptist University in 2006.

With more than twenty-four years in law enforcement, Joey currently serves as a detective with the San Antonio Police Department. His investigative background, strong work ethic, and eye for detail carry over into his role in construction.

Proficient in roof inspections, roof takeoffs, and bilingual communication, Joey has managed hundreds of roof claims from start to finish. He is committed to delivering accuracy, transparency, and results that exceed client expectations.

Logan Wilson,

Estimator

Logan brings a diverse background in insurance adjusting, construction estimating, and mechanical diagnostics to his role as Estimator. With hands-on experience in both residential and commercial projects, Logan excels at preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, performing site assessments, and coordinating with project managers and vendors.

Logan’s strong foundation in Xactimate and Symbility software—gained during his time as an independent insurance adjuster—enables him to produce precise estimates under pressure, often handling multiple daily inspections during catastrophe deployments. He is known for his sharp attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to manage competing deadlines without compromising quality.

Whether on-site or in the office, Logan is committed to delivering dependable, data-driven insights that support successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Mollie Zamora

Mollie Zamora,

Estimator

With more than nine years of experience, Mollie is a licensed adjuster and an expert in X1 and CoreLogic. She began her career on a Catastrophe team before advancing into other programs, including interior loss and a TDY partnership with Independent Adjusters, where she provided compliance reviews. She later moved into a local role with a national insurance provider, continuing to refine her expertise.

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Mollie earned her Kinesiology degree from Brigham Young University–Hawaii. Work opportunities eventually brought her to Texas, where her career in insurance continued to grow.

During her time with a national insurance provider, Mollie developed a strong working relationship with Vidal Construction and gained a deep respect for the company. When seeking a new career opportunity, joining the Vidal team was the natural choice.
